| What denomination are you affiliated with?
We are not affiliated with any denomination but we are part of a larger fellowship. There are thousands of independent, non-denominational Christian Churches/Churches of Christ throughout the United States and the world. We have several colleges and universities that we are associated with and some publishing companies, Standard Publishing, being one that you may be familiar with. But our relationship with other churches and these institutions is strictly voluntary. We are not bound by any external statement of faith, creed or governing body. Just like the Church in the Bible, we have elders who lead and direct us. For the most part, denominations have arisen due to divisions within the Church. Some of those divisions throughout history have been for petty issues. We want to honor Jesus' prayer that we would all be one (John 17:20-21). We simply want to be known as Christians and Christians, only.

| What is your church service like?
Most often people want to know about a church's music style. We are somewhere in between contemporary and tradition. We have a blended worship service, in that we sing some traditional hymns and we also sing contemporary songs. The music is chosen each week for its message and how it contributes to the worship plan for that Sunday. Like most other churches, we have prayer and a message and other common elements to a worship service. One thing you might find unique is that we have communion every Sunday. The Church in the Bible had The Lord's Supper every Sunday (Acts 2:42 with Acts 20:7). Like singing, preaching, praying and everything else we do in our worship service, we believe this is so important we need to remember Jesus in this way each week.

| Do I have to dress up?
No. Come as you are -- casual, dressy, in jeans ...

| Do I have to give money?
No. Although we do collect an offering, we do not ask or expect that any visitor contribute. Our offering is for our members and regular attendees who have made a commitment to honor God and support our church in this way. Please, leave your checkbook at home. Seriously, you can.

| Do you have a nursery?
Yes. It is staffed by loving adults in a safe and friendly environment, just outside of our auditorium. You can even stay in the nursery with your baby if you want, or you may keep them in the worship service.

| What kinds of children's programs do you offer?
During worship, we have a Jr. Church for pre-school through grade 5 (and a nursery for those who are younger). The way our service is structured, our children begin in the "adult" worship service for the first couple of songs and then they are dismissed to their own class and worship time with our Youth Minister and volunteers. In Jr. Church, children are taught about God and Jesus and how to live in a way that pleases Him. There is often a craft, game or snack -- but always, it is an enjoyable, safe and encouraging time. If your child does not want to go to the Jr. Class, that is fine too. He or she may remain with you in the worship service. You may ask one of our greeters for a "Survival Kit" with something special to help make the worship time more enjoyable for them.
We also have Bible School each Sunday morning at 9:30 for each age group and other activities each month.

| What do you believe?
There is no short answer to this other than "We believe the Bible." But I doubt that is satisfactory, so here goes:
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God given to us as our only authority for knowing about and obeying God (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Hebrews 4:12, Revelation 22:18-19)
We believe that Jesus Christ is God's one and only Son, who came to earth in the form of a man (Philippians 2:5-11). He lived a perfect, sinless life and died on a cross and through that death, paid the penalty of sin for all who accept Him (1 Peter 2:21-24). And after being buried in a tomb, we believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead in a new body, that He appeared to many people and that He lives forever. We believe that His resurrection was a real, physical, bodily resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
We believe that every person is loved by God and that it is God's deepest desire to save anyone who will come to Him and accept Him (John 3:16).
We believe that every person has sinned and that without God's grace, an eternal punishment awaits them on the other side of the grave (Romans 6:23).
We believe that every child of God ought to act like a child of God (Romans 6:2-4, Galatians 5:22-25). But even when they do not, we believe in grace, forgiveness and restoration (Galatians 6:1-2).
I hope this gives you a good idea of where our heart is and that we base our beliefs on the Bible. If you have a specific question about what we believe, please email me and I will answer you.

Great! Email me, Scott, and I will do my best to answer your question. I may even add it to our FAQ list. Unlike some TV shows, if your submission is selected for publication, there is no prize. Sorry.
